May I provide a warm and special thank you for requesting a copy of our painting and ceramic holiday brochure to Lapland. For many the destination is simply unknown, unless of course you have children in your family, and can associate it with the home of Santa Claus. Some 25 years ago I fell in love with Finnish Lapland, an area of Scandinavia located North of the Arctic Circle. Then and today it's a situation where there are more reindeer than people and it is possible to drive for many miles on some of the side roads and not encounter another person.
One was immediately captivated by the beauty and total lack of development encountered; indeed at the time of my first visit the road network was not fully established.
Whether it was the absolute scenic beauty or the total peace and tranquillity of the area that captivated me or the dramatic change in seasons is difficult to tell.
It was and is simply magical. If there were a place to totally de-stress in this world I can certainly recommend Lapland, where the pace of life is surely relaxed and old fashioned values are there to be enjoyed.
